Trainining of Trainers #1: Media literacy, critical thinking, and great energy in Genova
The first Training of Trainers of the MAP project took place last week in Genoa, Italy. Two intense days where youth workers and youth ambassadors came together to strengthen key competences for today’s world of information:
- How do we recognize fake news?
- How can we unpack misleading headlines?
- How do algorithms shape what we see online?
- How can digital storytelling become a tool for active citizenship?
Through interactive activities, role-plays, real case analysis and collaborative work, participants developed practical tools they can now bring back to their local contexts.
And this is only the beginning: In the coming months, the trained educators will share what they have learned with colleagues and peers, and engage groups of young people in local workshops and European mobilities.
Training educators means multiplying impact.Building informed citizenship starts from shared responsibility.Young people are not just recipients - they are agents of change.
